These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Crissorama Wedding Photography website (crissorama.com) and our professional photography services. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided
Photography Services
Crissorama specializes in documentary-style destination wedding photography in Costa Rica and Europe, including:
Costa Rica Packages:
- The Elopement Experience – $2,200 (2-4 hours, 200+ images)
- The Intimate Wedding Experience – $3,000 (4-6 hours, 400+ images)
- The Wedding Experience – $5,500 (8-10 hours, 650+ images, 2 photographers, film & drone included)
- The Weekend Experience – Starting at $7,500 (Multi-day coverage, 900-1,100+ images)
Europe Packages:
- The Elopement Experience – €2,100 ($2,200 USD)
- The Intimate Experience – €3,500 ($3,650 USD, 6 hours)
- The Full Wedding Experience – €4,000 ($4,175 USD, 8 hours)
- The Grand Cru Wedding – €5,000 ($5,220 USD, 10 hours)
Additional Services:
- Engagement Photography – Starting at $750 (Costa Rica)
- Surprise Proposal Photography – $850 (includes engagement session)
- Wedding Videography – Starting at $2,200
- Adventure Sessions, Trash the Dress, Pre-Wedding Sessions
Service Delivery Process
- Initial Consultation: Free consultation call to discuss your vision, date, and package options
- Contract & Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit required to secure your date
- Pre-Wedding Planning: Timeline assistance, location scouting recommendations, and coordination
- Photography Session: Professional coverage on your wedding day or session date
- Image Delivery:
- 72-hour sneak peek of select edited images
- Complete gallery delivery within 2 weeks
- High-resolution digital files with full print rights
- Secure online gallery (1 year access) for viewing and downloading
- Typically 75-100 beautifully edited images per hour of coverage
- Every image delivered in both color AND timeless black & white
3. Booking & Payment Terms
Reservation Process
- Your wedding date is reserved only upon receipt of a signed contract and 30% deposit
- The remaining 70% balance is due the day of your wedding.
- Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, Wise, PayPal, cash.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
By Client:
- More than 90 days before event: 30% of deposit refunded
- 60-90 days before event: 10% of deposit refunded
- Less than 60 days before event: No refund (deposit and any payments are non-refundable)
- If we can rebook your date with another client, we will provide a credit toward future services
By Crissorama:
- In the unlikely event we must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund of all payments made
- We will make every reasonable effort to provide a qualified backup photographer of similar skill level
Rescheduling
- One free date change is permitted if requested more than 90 days before your original date (subject to availability)
- Rescheduling within 90 days may incur an additional fee of $300
- Rescheduling within 30 days is considered a cancellation
4. Image Rights & Usage
Copyright & Ownership
- Crissorama retains full copyright to all images created during your session
- You receive: Unlimited personal print rights and digital sharing rights for all delivered images
- You may: Print images for personal use, share on social media with credit, create albums and wall art
- You may not: Sell images, use for commercial purposes, or significantly alter images (filters/cropping acceptable)
Crissorama’s Portfolio Rights
- We reserve the right to use images from your wedding for:
- Marketing and advertising materials
- Social media posts and website portfolio
- Blog features and educational content
- Contest submissions and publication features
- Print and online portfolio displays
Privacy Option: If you prefer certain images or your entire wedding remain private, please notify us in writing. We will honor reasonable privacy requests.
Image Alterations & Retouching
- All delivered images include professional color correction and exposure adjustments
- Basic skin smoothing and minor blemish removal included
- Extensive retouching (beyond standard editing) available for additional fee
- We maintain our artistic style; excessive editing requests may be declined
5. Backup & Image Security
Our Commitment to Protecting Your Images
- Redundant Storage: All images backed up to 3 separate locations during and after your wedding
- Retention Period: Raw files retained for minimum 90 days; edited images stored for 1 year
- Archive Request: Extended storage available for additional annual fee
Backup Photographer Plan
In the event of photographer illness or emergency:
- We maintain a network of qualified backup photographers in Costa Rica
- Backup photographer will be of similar skill level and compatible style
- If no suitable backup available, full refund provided
6. Client Responsibilities
Before Your Session
- Provide accurate schedule, timeline, and location information
- Communicate any special requests or must-have shots at least 2 weeks prior
- Ensure all vendors and venue are informed of photography coverage
- Obtain necessary permissions for private property or restricted venue areas
During Your Session
- Cooperate with photographer’s direction for lighting and composition
- Ensure family members and guests respect photographer’s workspace
- Provide meal and reasonable break for sessions over 6 hours
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, floods)
- Government restrictions or venue closures
- Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
In such cases, rescheduling will be arranged without penalty, or full refund provided if rescheduling is not possible.
7. Website Use Terms
Acceptable Use
You may:
- Browse our website and portfolio
- Download our planning guides and resources for personal use
- Share our content with proper attribution
- Submit inquiry forms and contact requests
You may not:
- Copy or reproduce website content without permission
- Use automated systems to scrape or download content
- Impersonate Crissorama or submit false information
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise website security
Intellectual Property
All content on crissorama.com, including text, images, videos, and design elements, is protected by copyright and owned by Crissorama Wedding Photography unless otherwise stated.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party venues, vendors, or resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of external sites.
8. Limitation of Liability
Photography Services
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for our services
- We are not responsible for:
- Missed shots due to guest obstruction or venue restrictions
- Equipment malfunction (though we carry backup equipment)
- Locations or lighting conditions beyond our control
- Family dynamics or uncooperative subjects
Data Loss Disclaimer
While we maintain rigorous backup procedures, we cannot guarantee against catastrophic data loss due to:
- Multiple simultaneous equipment failures
- Natural disasters affecting all storage locations
- Unforeseen technical failures
In such unlikely events, liability is limited to full refund of service fees.
9. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica and Spain, where our business operations are based, depending on your service location.

- Good Faith Resolution: We commit to resolving concerns through transparent, respectful dialogue
- Mediation: If concerns cannot be resolved directly, we agree to good-faith mediation
- Arbitration: Disputes related to Costa Rica services resolved through binding arbitration in Costa Rica; Europe services through arbitration in Spain
- Legal Action: If litigation is necessary, venue will be in the courts of the service location (Costa Rica or Spain)
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use periodically to reflect:
- Changes in our services or business practices
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Improvements to clarity or user experience
Notification:
- Significant changes will be announced via email to booked clients
- Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms
- Previous terms apply to contracts signed before the update date
