Costa Rica Wedding Photographer

I’m Christopher Alga, the photographer behind Crissorama. I photograph destination weddings across Costa Rica and Barcelona with an editorial & documentary photography approach that’s calm, observant, and gently directed when needed.

You don’t need to know how to pose or spend your wedding day performing for a camera. I’ll step in when direction helps, and disappear when the moment matters more than the photograph.

A Wedding Archive, not just coverage.

I don’t see a wedding as a set number of hours to photograph. I see it as a story to preserve.

The people, the voices, the music, the landscape, the unexpected moments, the things you touched, kept, heard and felt.

I bring digital photography, analog film, Super 8, audio, motion and physical keepsakes together to create something bigger than a wedding gallery: your wedding archive.

Some stories become photographs. Some become films. Some live in sound, grain, movement and objects.

The goal isn’t to make your wedding look perfect. It’s to make sure you can remember what it felt like.

How We Plan Together

  1. The Vibe Call: A quick 30-minute video chat to align on vision and light.
  2. Timeline Guidance: We map out your venue’s peak natural light hours so you never feel rushed.
  3. The Unscripted Celebration: Be present with your guests while I document the day as it unfolds naturally.

A real moment

Kelsey and Colin planned every detail, but they didn’t plan for the sudden breeze that swept her veil just as he turned around. That unguarded wonder became their favorite image. I find the moments you didn’t plan, wherever your story takes you.

“Neither of us is very comfortable in front of a camera, but Christopher made sure we didn’t feel like we were posing or that we were in any way awkward. In fact, it was one of the best days of our lives.”

Destination Weddings in Costa Rica and Europe

Look closer. Every wedding holds a secret story beneath the surface. It lives in the tension, the relief, and the quiet way two people find each other in the crowd.

Wedding

images

that don’t expire,

honest moments,

captured with intention and restraint.

Film, texture, and the beauty of imperfection.

I use 35mm, medium format, and Super 8 not only for nostalgia, but because film asks for a slower way of seeing.

It notices light differently. It holds movement differently. It gives memory a texture that feels less polished and more alive.

The result is imagery that feels cinematic and unmistakably yours.
