Costa Rica Wedding Photography Packages
Planning a destination wedding in Costa Rica already involves enough moving parts, travel logistics, unfamiliar vendors, time zones, and a place you may not know well yet.
Your photography shouldn’t add stress to that process.
That’s why my Costa Rica wedding photography packages are built around clarity and calm, not hourly limits, surprise fees, or last-minute decisions. Every package is fully detailed, publicly priced, and designed to cover your wedding day as it naturally unfolds.
No hidden costs.
No clock-watching.
No wondering if you booked “enough hours.”
Just honest, complete coverage of your day.
After more than 15 years and hundreds of weddings in Costa Rica, couples often tell me the deciding factor wasn’t just the images. It was knowing they could relax, be themselves, and trust the process.
I work best with couples who want their wedding documented naturally, without pressure or performance. If you value ease, connection, and a photographer who blends in rather than takes over, you’ll likely feel very comfortable working together.
This Is More Than Hours of Coverage
Most wedding photographers sell time blocks. Six hours. Eight hours. Ten hours.
I don’t.
Your wedding day doesn’t unfold in fixed segments, and photography shouldn’t be treated like a meter running in the background. When you book one of my packages, you’re not paying for a number of hours, you’re investing in full, thoughtful coverage of your day as it actually happens.
What this means in practice:
-
No clock pressure. If your ceremony runs late because of weather, emotion, or real life, we keep going. No overtime fees. No awkward conversations.
-
Coverage that adapts to your timeline. Whether your day is slow and intimate or layered and dynamic, the focus stays on moments, not minutes.
-
A calmer experience. You’re present with your guests instead of worrying about what’s coming next.
This approach is especially important for destination weddings in Costa Rica, where nature, light, and weather don’t follow a strict script.

“What sealed the deal for us was his personality. We could tell immediately that he genuinely cared about our story, not just taking pretty pictures. It felt like having a friend document our day, not a vendor. Best decision we made.”
— Laura & Ryan, Elopement in La Paz Waterfall
“We chose Christopher because of his deep knowledge of Costa Rica. He knew our venue better than we did! He suggested the perfect spot for our ceremony based on the time of day, and the light was absolutely magical. His experience was invaluable.”
— Amanda & Christian, Guanacaste Wedding
“Christopher made us feel so comfortable from the very first call. We’re both awkward in front of cameras, but he made it fun and natural. On our wedding day, we honestly forgot he was there half the time, which is exactly what we wanted. The photos captured us perfectly.”
— Joelle & Levi, Manuel Antonio Wedding

Analog Dreams: Super 8 & Film Coverage
I started photography on film long before digital existed, and that love never left.
As part of an ongoing personal project, I offer complimentary Super 8 film coverage to a limited number of couples who book The Wedding Experience or above.
This is not a standard add-on. It’s an artistic collaboration.
What you receive:
-
Dreamy, grain-filled Super 8 footage
-
Film stock, developing, and scanning included
-
Delivered alongside your digital photo and video collection
This offer is available for a small number of weddings each year while I continue refining my analog workflow.
If the timeless, imperfect beauty of film speaks to you, let’s talk about it during your consultation.
What Your Wedding Day Feels Like
One thing couples often tell me after their wedding is this:
“I didn’t feel photographed. I just felt present.”
That’s intentional.
Here’s what working together typically feels like throughout the day:
Getting Ready
I arrive quietly and read the room. I document the atmosphere, the anticipation, and the in-between moments without interrupting your rhythm. You won’t be asked to recreate anything or slow down for the camera.
The Ceremony
My priority is that your guests experience the ceremony, not a photographer moving around them. I position myself carefully for light and angles, working discreetly so the focus stays on the vows, not the coverage.
Portraits (about 20–30 minutes)
This is not a photoshoot. It’s a pause.
We walk, talk, breathe, and let the day sink in. I give light direction when needed, mostly around light and positioning, then step back so your connection leads the moment.
The Reception
I read the energy of the room. I don’t pull you away from conversations or moments unless you want formal photos. The goal is to document what actually happens, not manufacture moments for the camera.
Throughout the Day
I anticipate moments before they unfold, move quietly, and give you space to be fully present. Most couples tell me they forgot I was there, and later realized I somehow captured everything.
That balance is the result of experience, not luck.
Why You Receive a Curated Collection (Not Thousands of Images)
You won’t receive hundreds of near-identical frames of the same moment.
My approach is based on intentional curation, not volume. Every image you receive serves a purpose in telling the complete story of your day.
What that means in practice:
-
No duplicates
I remove repetitive frames and unflattering moments so you don’t have to sort through them later. -
Real variety
Different angles, expressions, and interactions that together tell the full story, not just the highlights. -
Emotional flow
Your gallery reads like a narrative, from anticipation to celebration, rather than a dump of images in chronological order. -
Images you’ll actually use
Albums, wall prints, thank-you cards, family gifts, and sharing. You won’t be overwhelmed by choice.
Most couples tell me this is one of the things they appreciate most after delivery. Instead of asking “Which one do we pick?” they say, “How do we choose favorites when we love so many?”
That balance is intentional. It’s how your memories stay meaningful rather than overwhelming.
Frequently Asked Questions About Costa Rica Wedding Photography Packages
Do you travel to all regions of Costa Rica?
Yes. Travel anywhere within Costa Rica is included in every package. I regularly photograph weddings across Guanacaste, Manuel Antonio, La Fortuna, the Central Valley, and more. If your wedding is in Costa Rica, I’ll be there, without additional travel fees.
What if we’re camera-shy or feel awkward in photos?
Almost every couple tells me this at first. My approach is simple: no stiff posing, no forced smiles. I guide you gently while you walk, talk, and interact naturally. Most couples tell me they forgot about the camera within minutes.
Have you photographed our venue before?
Very likely. After 15+ years photographing weddings in Costa Rica, I’ve worked at most major venues and many private locations. During our consultation, I’ll share specific insight about your venue, including light, timing, and the best areas for portraits.
If it’s a new location, I’m genuinely excited. I approach new venues with the same preparation and care, and often find unique perspectives that haven’t been photographed before.
What happens if you’re sick or there’s an emergency?
You’re fully covered. I work with a small group of trusted professional photographers in Costa Rica whose work and approach align closely with mine. In the rare case of an emergency, you would be introduced to the replacement photographer in advance and have full transparency. This is built into every package at no extra cost.
Can we see full wedding galleries?
Absolutely. During our consultation, I’ll share complete galleries so you can see how a full wedding day is documented from start to finish, not just highlights.
Do you help with timeline planning?
Yes. Timeline planning is included. I help you build a schedule that works with light, weather, guest comfort, and the natural flow of the day. My goal is to help you enjoy your wedding without rushing or missing moments.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are available and can be structured around your planning timeline. We’ll discuss options during your consultation so everything feels manageable and clear.
What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Destination weddings come with moving parts. If plans change, we handle things fairly and transparently. I’m always happy to talk through details during your consultation so you feel secure before booking.
One Final Thought Before You Decide
You don’t need to choose the “perfect” package.
Every collection here is designed to document your wedding fully and honestly. The difference isn’t quality, it’s scope, pacing, and how much of your story you want preserved.
If you’re unsure which option fits best, that’s completely normal. This is exactly what the consultation is for. I’ll help you figure out what you actually need, not upsell you into something you don’t.
No pressure. No sales script. Just a clear conversation about your plans.
If you value honest coverage, calm guidance, and photography that feels real rather than staged, we’ll probably work very well together.
