Planning a Costa Rica elopement for just the two of you? These Costa Rica Elopement Packages for Two are designed for couples who want the day to feel like an experience, not a smaller version of a traditional wedding.
You might exchange vows beside a waterfall, walk through the rainforest, swim in the Pacific, or simply disappear into the landscape together. There’s no guest list to manage and no reception timeline to follow. Just the two of you, somewhere that feels worth travelling for.
I’m a Costa Rica Elopement Photographer, and I’ve helped couples from the US, Canada, and Europe plan and photograph elopements throughout the country. This guide brings together what I’ve learned from real elopements: where to go, what things actually cost, how permits and logistics work, and how to create a day that feels like yours.
Elopement Packages Built Around Experience, Not Hours
Planning an elopement in Costa Rica from abroad can quickly become overwhelming.
That’s why every package is designed as a complete, all-inclusive experience, not a set number of hours.
You’re not booking time. You’re choosing how your day unfolds.
Whether you want a full-day adventure across multiple locations or a simple, focused ceremony in one place, everything is built to adapt to real conditions, not force your elopement into a rigid timeline.
What this means for you:
- No clock pressure or rushed moments
- No hidden costs or unexpected add-ons
- Full planning guidance from start to finish
- A day that flows naturally around light, weather, and your pace
Show up, be present, and enjoy the experience. I’ll take care of the rest.
All travel within Costa Rica, planning guidance, and essential logistics support are included.
“Imagine starting the morning in the mist of a cloud forest, exchanging vows beside a waterfall, and ending the day barefoot on a Pacific beach as the sun disappears into the ocean.”
Elopement Archives
For couples choosing something intimate, intentional, and deeply personal in Costa Rica.
These experiences are designed for elopements that feel natural rather than staged, with space for real emotion, beautiful landscapes, and a calm rhythm throughout the day.
Depending on the experience you want, your elopement can be documented through digital photography, analog film, Super 8, a short documentary film, and printed heirlooms.
Signature Elopement
One place. A whole day. Nothing rushed.
They had chosen one place because it meant something to them. After the ceremony, there was nowhere else they needed to be. They walked, talked, swam, opened a bottle of wine, and let the afternoon become part of the story.
The Signature Elopement is for couples who already know where they want to be and want enough time to let that place unfold naturally.
One meaningful location gives us room for the ceremony, portraits, exploration, quiet moments, and everything that happens in between.

Two places. One complete day.
They started the morning surrounded by rainforest. By late afternoon, they were barefoot on the coast, watching the light change over the Pacific. The distance between those two places became part of the adventure.
The Costa Rican Wanderlust gives you a full day across two locations, allowing your elopement to feel like a small journey through Costa Rica rather than a ceremony confined to one setting.

The Grand Tour
Two days. Multiple landscapes. An elopement that becomes a journey.
On the first morning, the mountains were hidden in mist. By the following evening they were standing on the Pacific coast, watching the sun disappear into the ocean. Somewhere between the two, they stopped thinking about the photographs and simply started enjoying the trip.
The Grand Tour is the most immersive elopement experience. Instead of trying to fit everything into one day, we give the story room to breathe across two days and multiple landscapes.

Which Elopement Is Right for You?
It usually comes down to one question: how much of Costa Rica do you want to experience?
One place.
Choose the Intimate Elopement if you already know where you want to be and want a focused few hours.
One place, a full day.
Choose the Signature Elopement if you want the freedom to slow down and let the day unfold.
Two places.
Choose Costa Rican Wanderlust if moving between landscapes is part of the adventure.
Two days.
Choose The Grand Tour if the journey itself is part of what you’re coming to Costa Rica for.
Not sure yet? That’s completely fine.
Most couples don’t have their entire elopement figured out when they first reach out. You might know the date, the landscape you love, or simply that you want to get married somewhere beautiful and meaningful.
We can figure out the rest together.
Frequently Asked Questions About Costa Rica Elopement Packages
How far in advance should we book our elopement?
Most couples book between 6 and 12 months in advance, especially for full-day experiences or popular locations.
If your plans are flexible, shorter timelines can still work, particularly for intimate or half-day elopements.
Do you help us choose the location?
Yes. Once I understand what you’re drawn to, I recommend locations based on scenery, accessibility, season, and light.
This is especially helpful if you’re planning from abroad and don’t know Costa Rica yet.
Are permits included in the packages?
Yes. I handle the process and include my permit coordination in the package.
Any official park or government fees are always discussed in advance so there are no surprises.
What happens if it rains?
Rain is part of Costa Rica, especially in green season.
I plan timelines with flexibility built in, and we adapt as needed. Some of the most atmospheric and emotional elopements happen in these conditions.
Can we include family or friends?
Absolutely. Most elopements include anywhere from just the two of you up to around 20 guests.
I help you choose locations and timelines that feel comfortable for your group.
We’re awkward in photos… is that a problem?
Not at all. Almost every couple says this at first.
There’s no stiff posing or forced moments, just simple guidance so you can interact naturally and forget about the camera.
What’s the next step if we want to move forward?
The next step is a quick consultation call.
We talk through your ideas, answer your questions, and see if everything feels like a good fit, no pressure, no commitment.
What are you imagining?
You don’t need to have the location, timeline, or whole day figured out yet.
Tell me what you’re drawn to: a waterfall, the rainforest, the coast, a quiet ceremony somewhere beautiful, or a full day exploring Costa Rica together.
I’ll help you work out what could make sense for your date, the season, the places you’re considering, and the kind of experience you want to have.
No pressure to have everything planned. This is simply where we start turning the idea into a real elopement.
