Costa Rica Elopement Galleries
No audience.
Only the place.
Real Costa Rica elopements photographed at waterfalls, in cloud forests and on quiet Pacific beaches, plus a few that followed couples farther away. Every story here is complete, so you can see how an elopement actually unfolds: the pace, the weather, the in-between moments and the two people at the center of it.
An elopement is not
a smaller wedding.
It is a different day.
Without guests, the day belongs to the two of you. You can take the long way to the waterfall, wait out a rain shower, or stay on the beach until the light is gone. As a Costa Rica elopement photographer, I don’t stage those hours. I stay close, watch what happens, and step in only when it helps.
If you’re still working out how eloping here works, start with the Costa Rica Elopement Planning Guide.
Ocean, rain,
moving water.
Water sets the tone for a lot of Costa Rica elopements: the Pacific at Playa Avellanas, the La Fortuna waterfall below Arenal, the cascades at La Paz near Cinchona. Water is loud, and that turns out to be a gift. Vows feel private even when you’re standing in the open.
Nobody waiting.
Nobody watching.
Cool air.
Slow light.
Up in the cloud forest, the pace changes. Fog moves through the trees, the temperature drops and the light stays soft for hours. Monteverde and the hills around San Ramón suit couples who want something quieter and more atmospheric than the beach.
Farther away.
Same attention.
Sometimes a couple asks me to follow the story somewhere else: Yosemite’s granite and meadows, a private island on Lake Nicaragua. The landscape changes. The way I work doesn’t.
Yours will be
the only one like it.
Tell me where you’re drawn to, whether that’s a waterfall, a volcano, a quiet beach or somewhere I haven’t been yet, and I’ll help you shape a day around it.
