Wedding films for people who want to remember the feeling of being there.
CINEMATIC WEDDING FILM COLLECTIONS IN COSTA RICA & EUROPE
Documentary storytelling, immersive sound, Super 8 textures, and emotionally honest filmmaking for modern destination weddings, elopements, and multi-day celebrations.
Some memories deserve more than a highlight reel.
These collections are designed for couples who want their wedding preserved with emotional honesty, cinematic atmosphere, and the texture of real memory. Through documentary filmmaking, immersive sound, digital cinema, and analog formats like Super 8 film, each collection is crafted to feel timeless, intimate, and deeply human years after the day is over.
A Different Way to Think About Coverage
Most wedding videographers sell hours.
Six. Eight. Ten.
I don’t.
Your wedding doesn’t happen in fixed blocks, and your wedding film shouldn’t feel like a meter running in the background.
- Coverage adapts to your day, not the other way around
- No pressure if things run late or shift
- A calmer experience where you stay present
This matters even more in Costa Rica, where light, weather, and timing are always changing.
Why Couples Choose This Approach
After 15+ years and 300+ weddings, most couples tell me the same thing:
It wasn’t just the photos.
It was how easy everything felt.
They could relax, be themselves, and trust the process.
If you’re looking for something natural, without pressure or performance, we’ll likely work very well together.

What It Feels Like to Be Filmed This Way
One thing couples often tell me after watching their film is:
“It felt exactly like being there again.”
That’s the goal.
Not a production.
Not a performance.
A living memory of the day as it actually unfolded.
Getting Ready
I arrive quietly and begin observing what’s already happening, the atmosphere, anticipation, movement, and emotion building naturally throughout the space.
Nothing is recreated.
Nothing is forced twice for the camera.
I focus on sound, rhythm, and the small details that later become part of the emotional memory of the film.
The Ceremony
During the ceremony, my presence stays minimal and intentional.
I move carefully, allowing the moment to unfold without interruption while documenting both the visible emotions and the quieter reactions happening around them.
The goal is never to make the ceremony feel filmed.
Only remembered honestly.
Portraits
This part of the day is less about directing and more about creating space.
We move slowly, follow the light, and allow moments to happen naturally. I may guide positioning or movement when needed, but the connection always comes first.
The film should feel lived-in, not performed.
The Reception
I follow the energy of the room as it naturally shifts throughout the night.
The movement becomes looser.
The sound becomes louder.
The atmosphere becomes part of the story.
Rather than interrupting moments, I stay immersed in them, capturing the feeling of being surrounded by the people you love most.
Throughout the Day
You stay present.
I take care of the storytelling.
Most couples tell me afterward they barely noticed the camera, and later realized how much emotion, sound, and atmosphere had quietly been preserved.
That balance comes from experience, intuition, and knowing when to step forward and when to disappear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer both photography and filmmaking?
Yes, but I only take on one primary medium per wedding.
I believe storytelling requires full emotional and creative attention. Because of that, I do not simultaneously direct full photography and full filmmaking coverage on the same wedding day.
Couples choose whether they want the story told primarily through photography or through film.
For select collections, I can include complementary highlights in the secondary medium, such as a short cinematic film alongside photography coverage or documentary photo highlights alongside filmmaking.
How would you describe your filmmaking style?
My approach blends documentary observation with cinematic storytelling.
I focus on emotional honesty, natural movement, immersive sound, atmosphere, and pacing rather than staged performances or trend-driven edits.
The goal is to create films that feel timeless and emotionally lived-in, not over-produced.
Will you direct us throughout the day?
Very minimally.
Most of the wedding unfolds naturally while I quietly observe and document what is already happening.
During portraits or transitions, I may gently guide movement, positioning, or light, but nothing is heavily scripted or performed for the camera.
Do you use Super 8 film?
Yes.
Super 8 is available as part of select collections or as an add-on experience.
I use analog film not for nostalgia alone, but for the softness, texture, movement, and emotional imperfection it brings to memory.
It creates a feeling that digital cannot fully replicate.
Do you travel for weddings outside Costa Rica?
Absolutely.
I’m based in Costa Rica and seasonally available in Europe, especially Barcelona and the Mediterranean region.
I regularly film destination weddings, elopements, and multi-day celebrations for couples traveling from the United States, Canada, and Europe.
How much coverage do we need?
Every collection includes full wedding day coverage.
I do not structure weddings around hourly limits because meaningful moments rarely happen on a fixed schedule.
This allows the day to unfold naturally without stress or pressure around timing.
How long are your wedding films?
Most cinematic highlight films range between:
- 3–5 minutes
- 5–8 minutes
- 8–12 minutes for multi-day celebrations
The length depends on the collection and the emotional complexity of the story being told.
Additional edits like full ceremonies, vows, and speeches are available in select collections.
Do you record audio during the wedding day?
Yes. Audio is one of the most important parts of emotional storytelling.
I professionally record vows, speeches, ambient sound, and small in-between moments throughout the day to create a more immersive and emotionally honest film.
How long does delivery take?
Teasers are typically delivered within the first week.
Final wedding films are usually delivered within:
- 4–8 weeks for single-day weddings
- Longer for multi-day celebrations
Every film is edited personally by me with a focus on emotional pacing and intentional storytelling.
Do you work alone or with a team?
I direct every wedding personally.
Depending on the collection and scale of the celebration, I may bring a second filmmaker for additional perspectives and logistical support while maintaining a unified artistic vision.
What makes your films different from traditional wedding videos?
I approach weddings more like documentary cinema than event coverage.
The focus is not on staged perfection or constant posing, but on atmosphere, emotional rhythm, movement, sound, and human connection.
The result feels less like watching a wedding video and more like stepping back into a memory.
How do we book?
Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a conversation to talk about your wedding, location, and the kind of experience you want to preserve.
If it feels like the right fit, a signed agreement and retainer officially secure your date.
One Final Thought Before You Decide
You don’t need to choose the “perfect” collection.
Every film collection is designed to document your wedding fully and honestly. The difference is simply how deeply you want the story explored, from a focused emotional portrait of the day to a more immersive cinematic archive.
If you’re unsure which collection fits best, that’s completely normal.
That conversation is part of the experience.
I’ll help you understand what genuinely makes sense for your wedding, your atmosphere, and the way you want these memories to feel years from now, without pressure or unnecessary upselling.
If you value emotional honesty, calm presence, and filmmaking that feels human rather than performative, we’ll probably work very well together.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year so every film receives the time, attention, and emotional care it deserves.
