You’ll take plenty of pictures on this trip. But it’s harder to photograph all of you together: a child holding your hand, your partner making them laugh, everyone walking back from the water.
I’m Christopher Alga. I photograph families with a documentary approach and gentle direction when it helps. We make a few composed portraits, then leave room for the things your family naturally does.
A snack break, a shy start or a tired little one can be part of the experience. We don’t need to make every minute look perfect.

01 / Before the session
Start with your trip.
Tell me where you’re staying, your children’s ages and what everyone enjoys. We choose a realistic location and time around light, travel, naps and your plans.
02 / While we’re together
Let them be themselves.
We can walk, explore and stop when someone needs a break. I guide the family portraits and watch for the laughter, curiosity and small gestures in between.
03 / When you’re home
Keep more than a view.
Your edited gallery holds the people inside the holiday. Photographs to share with grandparents, print for your home and return to as your children grow.

Adventure Family Experience
Start somewhere familiar, then explore a little further. Resort gardens followed by the beach, a forest walk and a nearby viewpoint, or two places your family would enjoy discovering. We plan a practical route with room for snacks, play and pauses.

Before you pack
You don’t need
a perfect plan.
What if our children don’t want to pose?
They don’t have to pose throughout the session. We give them time to get comfortable and photograph the family doing things together. I offer gentle guidance for portraits and leave space for play and breaks.
Can grandparents and extended family join?
Tell me who’s travelling with you and any mobility needs. We’ll choose a location and pace that work for the group, and confirm the coverage before you book.
Can you photograph us at our resort?
Yes, subject to the property’s access rules. Your hotel, resort or vacation home can be part of the session. We’ll check any permissions before the day.
What should we wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that feel like your family, with light fabrics and shoes that work for the route. You don’t need matching outfits. Bring water, snacks and anything your children need to feel comfortable.
What if it rains?
We talk through the options for your location and travel dates beforehand. Booking earlier in your trip can give us more flexibility to adjust the time if the weather changes.
Classic or Adventure?
Choose Classic when you want one place and an easy, contained session. Choose Adventure when you want to explore more than one setting and have extra room for the family to settle in, play and take breaks.
How many photographs will we receive?
Classic includes 50 to 75 edited high-resolution photographs. Adventure includes 80 to 120, plus a same-day sneak peek. Both include a private gallery and print release.
Is there an extra travel fee?
Travel and location planning within Costa Rica are included. We choose a realistic location or route around where you’re staying, your family and the experience you want.
