Costa Rica Wedding Photography & Storytelling Collections

Digital, analog, and documentary wedding coverage designed around real destination weddings, not hourly limits.

18 years · 300+ weddings · Travel anywhere in Costa Rica included

Pricing, Simplified

Costa Rica wedding photography packages should make planning easier, not force your celebration into a rigid formula. Every wedding has its own rhythm, whether you are exchanging vows privately at a waterfall, gathering your closest friends at a villa, or inviting everyone you love for a full destination wedding weekend.

My collections are designed as a clear starting point, with options for documentary photography, cinematic wedding films, 35mm film, and multi-day coverage.

Once I understand what you are planning, I will help you choose the coverage that makes sense for your story.

  • No surprise fees
  • No clock-watching
  • No wondering if you booked “enough hours”

Just complete, honest coverage adapted to your day as it naturally unfolds.

How much of your story do you want to preserve?

Most photographers sell hours.
Six. Eight. Ten.

I don’t.

Your wedding doesn’t happen in fixed blocks, and your photography shouldn’t feel like a meter running in the background.

  • Coverage adapts to your day, not the other way around
  • No pressure if things run late or shift
  • A calmer experience where you stay present

This matters even more in Costa Rica, where light, weather, and timing are always changing.

Every wedding has a different rhythm.

Some celebrations happen in an afternoon. Others unfold over an entire day, or become a gathering that lasts for several days

My collections aren’t built around adding more hours or more photographs. Each one adds another layer to the story: another chapter, another perspective, another way of remembering.

Most couples spend $3,500–$5,000.

Why Couples Choose This Approach

After 15+ years and 300+ weddings, I hear variations of the same things again and again:

“We don’t want to spend our wedding day posing.”
“We’re awkward in front of the camera.”
“We want the photos to feel like us.”
“We don’t want to miss the party because we’re taking pictures.”

And honestly, that’s exactly how I think it should be.

You don’t need to become models for your wedding photographs. You need someone who knows when to guide you, when to give you space, and when to simply let the moment happen.

The goal isn’t to make your wedding look perfect. It’s to make sure you can remember how it felt.

Wedding Archives

For intimate and full wedding days where the energy is bigger, but the intention stays the same.

These collections are designed for couples who want honest, emotional documentation without turning the wedding into a production. The focus is on the real atmosphere of the day: the people, the light, the movement, the voices, the quiet moments, and the celebration as it naturally unfolds.

Depending on the collection, your wedding can be preserved through digital photography, analog film, Super 8, documentary filmmaking, real audio, and printed heirlooms.

The Wedding Day

For couples who want their wedding day documented from beginning to end.

“The ceremony was over, the light was beginning to soften, and instead of moving straight into portraits, they walked down to the beach with everyone else. For a few minutes, nobody was thinking about photographs”

The Wedding Day is the foundation of the Crissorama experience. It gives you the space to be present while I document the people, atmosphere, landscape and moments that make the day yours.

ONE MORE CHAPTER

The Wedding Day + one meaningful moment around it.

$4,300

Want a little more than the wedding day?
If capturing one other meaningful part of your time in Costa Rica is important to you, but The Wedding Story isn’t quite what you need, One More Chapter gives you that option, which could be your welcome dinner, sunset drinks, or a day-after gathering, etc.

The Wedding Story

For couples who want to remember more than the wedding day.

“The wedding wasn’t the only thing they came to Costa Rica for. The night before, everyone gathered for dinner, meeting each other for the first time, sharing stories and slowly settling into the feeling that all of them were finally in the same place”

The Wedding Story adds one meaningful chapter to your wedding. It might be a welcome dinner, a sunset catamaran, a day-after adventure or something completely personal to you.

The idea is simple: the story doesn’t have to begin when the ceremony starts.

What’s Included

Everything in “The Wedding Day”, plus:

One additional chapter to choose from:

  • The day after. A relaxed session at a beach, a waterfall, or somewhere that matters to you.
  • The night before. Your welcome dinner or rehearsal, with everyone together for the first time.
  • Something together. A sunset catamaran, a family excursion, or an adventure of your own.

Things you’ll keep

  • An heirloom album, designed from your wedding and printed on archival paper
  • A 3 to 5 minutes documentary film with Super 8, real film with the texture of old home movies
  • Polaroids from the day
  • 550+ curated photographs

$5,000

Best for: destination weddings where the people travelling to Costa Rica and the experience of being together are just as important as the wedding itself.

“Christopher made us feel so comfortable from the very first call. We’re both awkward in front of cameras, but he made it fun and natural. On our wedding day, we honestly forgot he was there half the time,  which is exactly what we wanted. The photos captured us perfectly.”
— Joelle & Levi, Manuel Antonio Wedding

The Wedding Archive

For celebrations where one perspective isn’t enough.

The bride was getting ready upstairs while the groom’s friends were arriving downstairs, carrying beers and trying to keep the surprise quiet. By the time the ceremony began, there were already stories happening that neither of them had seen”

The Wedding Archive brings together more than one perspective and more than one medium. Alongside digital and analog photography, the day can live through Polaroids, Super 8, sound and documentary film.

It isn’t about collecting more photographs.

It’s about preserving more of what the day actually felt like.

What’s Included

Everything in “The Wedding Story”, including your chapter, plus:

A second perspective

  • Two-person creative team through the wedding day
  • 650+ curated photographs

Motion and sound

  • 7 to 9 minute documentary wedding film with more Super 8
  • Full ceremony film, from the first words to the last
  • Real audio from your vows, speeches, letters and the atmosphere of the day.
  • 48-hour social teaser
  • Drone footage, when appropriate and permitted

A deeper physical archive

  • Premium print box, alongside your heirloom album
  • Meaningful details and paper pieces from the day, kept in your archive

$7,000

Best for: larger celebrations, multiple locations, or couples who want their wedding preserved from different perspectives and through more than one medium.

“What sealed the deal for us was his personality. We could tell immediately that he genuinely cared about our story, not just taking pretty pictures. It felt like having a friend document our day, not a vendor. Best decision we made.”

Wedding Weekend Archives

For destination celebrations that unfold over more than one day.

When people travel across countries to be together, the story starts long before the ceremony.

The first hugs at the airport. Drinks the night before. A boat trip with friends. Parents meeting for the first time. Breakfast the morning after. The wedding itself somewhere in the middle of it all.

The Wedding Weekend Archives are designed to preserve that experience as a whole, rather than reducing it to a single day.

A moment from the beach wedding of Andrea and Edward at Conchal Beach, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

“We chose Christopher because of his deep knowledge of Costa Rica. He knew our venue better than we did! He suggested the perfect spot for our ceremony based on the time of day, and the light was absolutely magical. His experience was invaluable.”
— Amanda & Christian, Guanacaste Wedding

The Complete Weekend Archive

For couples who want to preserve the whole destination experience.

“The wedding was over, but nobody was ready to leave. The next morning everyone met for breakfast, some went to the beach, others stayed by the pool, and by the afternoon they were together again for one last adventure.”

The Complete Weekend Archive builds on The Wedding Archive, expanding the story across multiple days and adding deeper layers of photography, film, sound, and physical memories.

What Your Wedding Day Feels Like

What It Feels Like to Be Photographed This Way

One thing couples often tell me after their wedding is simple:
“I didn’t feel photographed. I just felt present.”

That’s intentional.

Getting Ready
I arrive quietly and document what’s already happening, the anticipation, the atmosphere, the small moments you don’t notice. Nothing is staged or repeated.

The Ceremony
I move with intention and stay out of the way. Your guests experience the moment fully, and your photos reflect it exactly as it felt.

Portraits (20–30 minutes)
This isn’t a photoshoot. It’s a pause in the day.
We walk, talk, and let everything settle. I guide you with light and positioning, then step back so your connection leads.

The Reception
I follow the energy of the room. No interruptions, no pulling you away. Just honest moments as they unfold.

Throughout the Day
You stay present. I take care of the rest.

Most couples tell me afterward they barely noticed me, and later realized everything was captured.

That balance comes from experience.

Do you help with timeline planning?
Yes. I help you build a timeline around light, location, and flow so the day feels natural and relaxed.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payments can be split in a way that fits your planning process.

Can we see full wedding galleries?
Absolutely. I’ll share complete galleries during our consultation so you can see how a full day is documented from start to finish.

One Final Thought Before You Decide

You’re choosing a photographer in another country

Planning a wedding from another country means trusting people you’ve often never met in person.

I understand that.

I personally read every inquiry and reply to every couple. Before anything is booked, we’ll have the opportunity to talk about your plans, your location, the way you want the day to feel, and anything you’re unsure about.

No sales presentation. No pressure to decide on the call.

Just a conversation to see whether we’re a good fit.
